  • WVDNR Physically Challenged Advisory Board to Meet at Cabela’s in Triadelphia on August 5 at 1 p.m. - The next regular meeting of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Physically Challenged Advisory Board (PCAB) is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 1 p.m. at the Cabela’s store at One Cabela Drive in Triadelphia (Wheeling), West Virginia. Items to be discussed are:
  • Trans-Allegheny Clash of Cultures Blennerhassett Island to host first of three interpretative events July 4 - American Indian and European cultures fought six wars westward of the Allegheny Mountains in what later became the Mountain State of West Virginia. The men and women involved in the 18th-century cycles of war and peace shaped the future of Trans-Allegheny culture. Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park near Parkersburg is the setting for the first of three summer interpretative programs titled “Trans-Allegheny Clash of Cultures,” sponsored by West Virginia State Parks.
  • Archery in the Schools Program Instructor Training August 11 and 12 in Charleston - The Wildlife Resources Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR), in cooperation with Kanawha County Board of Education, will host an Archery in the Schools (AIS) Program instructor training on August 11 and 12 at Kenna Elementary School in Charleston, according to Jerry Westfall, DNR’s AIS Program Coordinator.
